This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that FWA does not own or control or to individuals that FWA does not employ or manage.
These platforms are all operated to support the 501(c)(3) organization, Furry Weekend Atlanta, Inc. You must be 13 or older to access any of these platforms. Children under 13 who want to attend our convention can not register online and must register in person with a parent or guardian present.
What information do we collect?
For the purpose of MyFWA.com and Con Store, we may ask you to provide your name, address, phone number, email address, “furry name,” and emergency contact.
With respect to sensitive information, we will redirect the user to a secure page either on our site or to a trusted 3rd party site before transferring or receiving sensitive data. This information may include credit card or banking information, medical information, or other sensitive information.
This information is used to process your payment for registration and merchandise, confirm your registration, and confirm your identity at the time of the event. Excluding payment information, some of this may be shared with other FWA platforms to gain access to them, such as The FWA Game or The FWA App.
For all other purposes, including that of MyFWA.com we may collect:
- Our visitor’s domain and email address from visitors who post on our platforms.
- Non-personally identifying information such as mobile device ID #, operating system, browser type, carrier provider, language, geographic region, device type, screen size, and the date/time you visit our platforms.
- Any information given to us by users that contact us via email, inquiry form, survey, etc.

What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:
- To provide the core functionality of our platforms.
- Internal review, tracking, or contacting.
- Delivering custom content to our platforms.
- Contact information for marketing purposes, including newsletters, emails, or periodic advertisements from Furry Weekend Atlanta.
- To facilitate the process of your registration with Furry Weekend Atlanta at the event.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our platforms, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.
How do we protect your information?
For FurryWeekend.com, GeorgiaFurs.com, MyFWA.com, and The FWA Game we implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. Among other things, your browser session, as well as the traffic between our platforms and the API, are secured with SSL, and your password is hashed using a strong one-way algorithm. All information collected is stored on secured devices with access limited only to those FWA staff that need it to help service you.
